Slight Distractions...

So... It was my birthday and I finally got around to getting a graphics tablet. I figured I should give it a go, so tonight I decided to give it a shot with whatever came to mind. And that seems to be Veronica Mars.

I learned that I've really got to get around to learning how to use photoshop properly. I'm kind of happy with where my bumbling about has got me, but I think I could do something a lot cooler if I knew what the hell I was doing.

Other things I've learned recently:

-Wacom is pronounced Wack -om.
-Season 3 of Veronica Mars seems needlessly melodramatic.
-Getting organized is harder than I thought.
-The answer is blowing in the wind.

Lessons learnt in videogame design, #45 -51 and #12

Important design decision's I've only just became aware of:

1. My robot horse is gray. The moon is gray. This does not make the horse easy to see. In fact, his far side legs are totally blended in. I think I might have to change him to metallic blue or something. (#45)

2. My ninja is black. Space is black. This wont make the ninja easy to see when he starts jumping and equestering about. Mind you, he is a ninja, so he should be blending in with his environment. I'll put more consideration into this later. Furthermore, My ninja is named Ockel. (#46)

3. This is going to be a fairly drab looking game if I stick to a 'realistic' colour set. I'm going to have to introduce some day-glo colors in here somewhere. I may also cheat a little with the special effects. I may also pump up the jams. (#47)

4. I think I might at another level or 2 of parallax scrolling to the dunes. I'm not sure if this is going to affect the speed at all. I should probably experiment with turning all this pixel art into vectors too. I know that flash isn't that powerful, but I don't demand much. Just perfection. And a cold drink. Thanks. (#48, #49, #50)

Oh, and see it 'run' here. (#51)

Don't fake the funk on a nasty dunk. (#12)
