You are a horse.
I was researching the net looking to see if I could find some of the original design documents. I was hoping I could just pillage the raw ideas from there and then wouldn't have to work out so much for myself.
It seems, however, that Ninja Pirate Robot Equestrian on the Moon has been lost to the sands of time. Or at least largely forgotten about. On the Internet.
Google search only shows 2 responses, both of them leading to this blog. Using my expert powers of deduction I did manage to find this page, which is apparently the only design document for the game. Whether they mean only remaining or indeed, the only page ever, remains to be seen.
I'm just glad my memory of the game is so strong that I don't even need stuff like this.

My love of equestrian - FINALLY REVEALED!
<- Actual Box Art.
You see... originality is for berks.
Ninja Pirate Robot Equestrian On The Moon was actually one of the first full color games I ever played on my my old "IBM Compatible" Laser computer. My Dad picked it up at a garage sale for 50 cents because I was going through a pirate stage at the time. Strangely enough, I credit this game with beginning what I call my '非業の死の段階', or 'Ninja Stage'. I had already passed my robot stage some years before when I saw the Transformers animated movie.
Initially I didn't know what to make of it's complicated pirate parlay rules... or realistic moon physics. Before long though, I was soaring through the heavens atop my robotic steed, slaying other ninja pirates and performing difficult steeplechase routines. This is the kind of magic I want to bring back to the people of the digital generation. More to come later on...
(Now, seriously for a moment, I just started drawing a picture for use on the title screen. It's probably not as finished as it should be but it's enough for tonight. Similarly, the title text was only something I did up hastily. Can you pick out the part where I lost interest? The more I look at it though, the more I love it's ugliness.)

Only like... a week late.
Hah - hah!
So I've finally got my stuff in order and am now in the correct position to bring the kicking. Of the asses.
The question now is: What do I decide to spend my time on first? I've still got a mostly completed Starlight engine done. I've got all the groundwork for virtual house (but no idea where to lay it out, as it were). I've got my website and blog which both need a little lovin'. I've got Johnny lovebaby sitting around kinda half finished. I've got the plans for the next in the 'Chronicles of James' worked out. So.... what am I going to do?
That's right, I'm going to spend my time taking a joke from work too far.
Behold the majesty that is the main animation loop for the sprite of the game that will be known as "NINJA PIRATE ROBOT EQUESTRIAN ON THE MOON". See it in action here.
It's best if you don't think too hard about it.

First post of 2009!
Happy (late) New Year Internet!
It's taking me a little longer than expected to get my business in order, plus I only recently got back from my trip down south, so at the moment I don't really have much to show for this year so far.
My holidays were nowhere near as productive as I was hoping to make them... but sometimes this stuff can't be helped. What I did do was the occasion wreckless sketches here and there, which my sister then cut up and we arranged them onto the cover of my diary/planner I got for Christmas. The same diary/planner that will power me onto.... screw this i'll finish it tomorrow.
